Russian Helicopters may produce 45 Ansat helicopters in 2018
KAZAN, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- Russian Helicopters, part of state industrial corporation Rostec, plans to produce 45 Ansat helicopters and may enter foreign markets after certificates have been obtained, CEO Andrei Boginsky said on Wednesday.
“Our best seller Mi-8 is covered with restrictions, while Mi-17 is only produced in small volumes under a new state arms program, this is why we focus on the development of Mi-38 and the Ansat helicopter. If we look at the dynamics, last year seven Ansat vehicles were made, we plan to produce 45 more this year and hope the sales will grow,” he said.
Boginsky said that his company is working to receive certificates in China, Turkey, Latin American countries, including Mexico and Colombia, and plans to enter the North African market.
Russian Helicopters also considers producing various modifications of the Mi-38 model which is excellent for regional air connection, he added.
